Price guide
The entry price is about £3,600 plus VAT. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. The written quotation is valid for 90 days.
From order to fitted
Allow 5-6 weeks after drawing sign-off from drawings to delivery. Installation in Ilkeston is usually a day or two once everything is made. We can fit on a day the business is shut.
What gets fitted
Steel takes an impact that aluminium will not, so it is the usual choice for units that have been targeted before or that sit on a late-night street. You can specify slim steel sections with high impact resistance; laminated glass options for attack resistance.
Our Derbyshire area
Ilkeston falls within Derbyshire and the DE postcode area, so the team is regularly nearby in Derby, Chesterfield and Glossop.
Permission and Erewash Borough Council
The local planning authority for Ilkeston is Erewash Borough Council. Swapping like for like is usually fine, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. We flag it at survey so it never delays the fit.
Questions from Ilkeston customers
Who carries out the work?
Work is carried out by our installation team and approved installers working under S&K Glazing Limited, which contracts with you and is responsible for the job.
Do you cover the whole of Derbyshire?
Yes. We cover Ilkeston and the rest of Derbyshire, including Derby, Chesterfield and Glossop.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
