Shopfronts & doors
Traditional and conservation-area timber frontages across the Midlands, from £3,800 plus VAT.
Free survey, no obligation.
Conservation officers will usually insist on timber in a listed parade. Hardwood sections are machined to match the original mouldings, primed and finished on site, with concealed modern weathering details.
Every job starts with a site survey, because a frontage measured off a photograph is a frontage that arrives wrong. We take the opening dimensions, check the lintel and the floor level, and confirm what the existing structure will carry before anything is ordered.
Access affects the price more than most people expect. A pedestrianised street with a loading window changes the labour, not the materials.
Send the opening size and a photograph of the frontage and you will have an indication the same working day.
It depends on the opening width, the material and whether the existing frontage needs stripping out. As a guide, an aluminium frontage on a standard single unit usually starts around £2,450 plus VAT. The survey gives you a fixed written figure rather than a range.
A straightforward shopfront is one to two days on site once manufactured. Manufacturing is typically three to four weeks from the point you approve the drawings. Shutters alone are usually a single day.
Installation is guaranteed for 12 months. Manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and powder coating run longer and are passed to you in writing on completion.
Yes, and there is no obligation attached to it. A number of people book one purely to get a realistic figure before they commit to a lease or set a refurbishment budget.
Usually yes, provided the lintel will take the load and there is headroom for the barrel. That is one of the first things checked at survey.
