Lead times
Expect 5-7 weeks after drawing sign-off for manufacture. Installation in Derby is usually a day or two once everything is made. We can fit on a day the business is shut.
Specification notes
Where a parade is listed or sits in a conservation area, the planning authority will often expect timber. Options include engineered hardwood sections; mouldings matched to the original profile.

Our Derby jobs sit within Derbyshire covering DE postcodes, and we are often working close by in Ilkeston, Glossop and Buxton.
Do you need consent?
The local planning authority for Derby is Derby City Council. Replacing an existing frontage in the same style seldom needs permission, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. You will know before you order.
Costs
Guide price: from £3,800 plus VAT for a standard opening. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. The written quotation is valid for 90 days.
Before you book
Who carries out the work?
Work is carried out by our installation team and approved installers working under S&K Glazing Limited, which contracts with you and is responsible for the job.
Do you cover the whole of Derbyshire?
Yes. We cover Derby and the rest of Derbyshire, including Ilkeston, Glossop and Buxton.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
