Permission and Walsall Council
Planning in Walsall goes through Walsall Council. Swapping like for like is usually fine, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. We flag it at survey so it never delays the fit.
Costs
Bi-folding shopfronts start at around £5,200 plus VAT. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. Quotations stay valid for 90 days.
From order to fitted
Manufacture usually takes 4-5 weeks after drawing sign-off. The install itself rarely takes more than two days for a standard opening. Early starts and closed-day fitting are both possible.
The product
Folding the whole frontage back turns the glass line into open trading space, so pavement seating reads as part of the room. Common specifications: low-profile threshold when open; traffic door built into the run for daily use.
