Timescales
Allow 3-4 weeks after drawing sign-off from drawings to delivery. On site, most Shrewsbury jobs take one or two days. We can fit on a day the business is shut.
The product
Aluminium is the default for high-street retail because the sections stay slim, the powder coat can match any brand colour, and the frame will not rot, swell or warp. Popular choices include any RAL colour, including dual-colour frames; toughened or laminated safety glass to BS EN 12150 / 14449.
Coverage
Shrewsbury falls within Shropshire across the SY postcode district, with regular work in neighbouring Ludlow, Market Drayton and Telford.
Permission and Shropshire Council
In Shrewsbury, applications go to Shropshire Council. Swapping like for like is usually fine, though external shutters and lit signs normally need approval. We check which applies to your unit at survey.
Common questions
Who carries out the work?
Work is carried out by our installation team and approved installers working under S&K Glazing Limited, which contracts with you and is responsible for the job.
Do you cover the whole of Shropshire?
Yes. We cover Shrewsbury and the rest of Shropshire, including Ludlow, Market Drayton and Telford.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
