Costs
Budget from £2,450 plus VAT as a starting point. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. The written quotation is valid for 90 days.
Timescales
Manufacture usually takes 3-4 weeks after drawing sign-off. Installation in Chesterfield is usually a day or two once everything is made. Early starts and closed-day fitting are both possible.
What gets fitted
Aluminium is the default for high-street retail because the sections stay slim, the powder coat can match any brand colour, and the frame will not rot, swell or warp. Common specifications: low-threshold entrance options for level access; thermally broken or non-thermal sections to suit the unit.
Coverage
We treat Chesterfield as part of our Derbyshire round including the S postcodes, with regular work in neighbouring Ilkeston, Glossop and Buxton.
Do you need consent?
The local planning authority for Chesterfield is Chesterfield Borough Council. Replacing an existing frontage in the same style seldom needs permission, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. We flag it at survey so it never delays the fit.
Before you book
How do payments work?
A deposit is taken when you accept the quotation, a further stage payment on the first day of installation, and the balance on satisfactory completion. The exact split is set out on your quotation.
Who carries out the work?
Work is carried out by our installation team and approved installers working under S&K Glazing Limited, which contracts with you and is responsible for the job.
Do you cover the whole of Derbyshire?
Yes. We cover Chesterfield and the rest of Derbyshire, including Ilkeston, Glossop and Buxton.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
