Specification notes
Aluminium is the default for high-street retail because the sections stay slim, the powder coat can match any brand colour, and the frame will not rot, swell or warp. Common specifications: toughened or laminated safety glass to BS EN 12150 / 14449; low-threshold entrance options for level access.

Permission and City of Lincoln Council
In Lincoln, applications go to City of Lincoln Council. Replacing an existing frontage in the same style seldom needs permission, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. We flag it at survey so it never delays the fit.
