Local planning
In Hereford, applications go to Herefordshire Council. A straight replacement is normally permitted, though external shutters and lit signs normally need approval. You will know before you order.
How much?
Guide price: from £2,450 plus VAT for a standard opening. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. Quotations stay valid for 90 days.
Lead times
Lead time is typically 3-4 weeks after drawing sign-off. On site, most Hereford jobs take one or two days. We can fit on a day the business is shut.
The product
Aluminium is the default for high-street retail because the sections stay slim, the powder coat can match any brand colour, and the frame will not rot, swell or warp. Options include low-threshold entrance options for level access; thermally broken or non-thermal sections to suit the unit.
Nearby
We treat Hereford as part of our Herefordshire round including the HR postcodes, so the team is regularly nearby in Ross-on-Wye and Leominster.
Before you book
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
What do you need from me to quote?
The address, roughly what you want, and a photo of the current frontage. Opening sizes help but are not essential, because we measure at survey anyway.
How much does aluminium shopfronts cost in Hereford?
Aluminium shopfronts start from around £2,450 plus VAT for a standard opening. The exact figure depends on the width, height, finish and access, and comes from a free site survey as a written, itemised quotation.
Do I need planning permission in Hereford?
Like-for-like replacements usually do not. Changing the appearance of the frontage, fitting an external roller shutter or adding an illuminated sign usually needs consent from Herefordshire Council. We tell you which applies at survey.
